Vivid Black Leopard, 15.2 1/2 hands. We are truly excited about our newest addition to Sawyer Creek. Abby comes by her impeccable credentials honestly.  Her sire, Live The Dream, is a 16.2 hand loud bay blanketed World Champion son of Dreamfinder.  He is on the ApHC top five "Leading Sires of Halter Class Winners" list as well as the top five of the "Leading Sires of Point Earning Halter Horses." He has sired offspring earning over 1883 national points in halter as well as performance,  with 41 ROM's, 3 Halter Superiors and 5 Bronze Medallions. Abby's vivid black leopard dam, Poco-A-Ke, was an incredibly versatile mare that amassed 152.5 points in an amazing 26 different events! But, it's one thing to have a great show mare, it's even more impressive when they reproduce greatness! Poco-A-Ke had 12 registered foals that earned 183.5 halter points, 27 performance points, 1 Superior at Halter and 9 World and National Championships and Reserve World and National Championships. Wow! Now...lest you think our Abby is all FLASH and no substance, consider her full sibling and solid colored chestnut older sister, Anonymous Dreams. Anonymous Dreams is a 2X National Champion and a 2X Reserve National Champion halter mare with a Superior at Halter title. She has earned 150.5 total national points in halter and performance.  Not to be left out, her other point earning siblings including Cupids Dream and Stand A Grand with 13.5 halter points and 27 performance points. Abby is a prime example that a truly great horse can come in ANY color...but I think you will agree that her rare and unique black leopard coat pattern adds a finishing touch. Can her Sawyer Creek foals be destined for anything but greatness? We hope you'll stick around the next few years to see for yourself.  Abby is confirmed in foal to Maids Midnite Delite for 2009.

PEDIGREE

Golden Palomino with a blanket.  16 hands. Daisy is our newest superstar and cover girl! Native Treasure is a wonderful pictorial equine coffee-table book filled with great images and thoughtful messages to inspire all horse lovers. The popularity of Rita K. Nicholson's Native Treasure cover photograph and it's use by Tioga Territory, LTD for official Appaloosa Horse Club merchandise has given Daisy the distinction of being one of the most recognizable Appaloosas in our breed. Daisy can be found on everything from the backs of our ApHC World Show jackets, to coffee mugs, cutting boards, playing cards, pillows and afghans with more merchandise to follow. Daisy is most deserving of her universal appeal. Her rich deep gold color, splashy blanket and excellent conformation make her a blonde bombshell. ApHC judges think so too! She has earned two ROM's with 73.5 national points in Open Halter and 46 Non-Pro halter points with additional points in Most Colorful. She has 22 Grand Championships and 14 Reserve Grand Championships that led to her Reserve High Point in the Nation award as a 3 Year Old Mare. She has garnished three Top Five ApHC National Show placings, 1 Top Ten and was twice Top Ten at the ApHC World Show.  Her outstanding conformation comes directly from her impressive pedigree. She is by the now deceased leading halter stallion, Maids Dream. Maids Dream is the sire of 35 World Champions, 25 Reserve World Champions, 25 National Champions, 23 Res. National Champions, 4 National Hi Point Champions with total points in excess of 8,026. He produced 23 halter superiors, 112 ROM's and 45 Bronze Medallions. Daisy's dam, Slick N Sensuous, is a credentialed horse in her own right. She is a Superior Halter mare with 153 national points including 25 Grand and 22 Reserve Grand Championships.  We believe that great horses come from great parents.  That is why we are most excited to announce that Daisy is in foal for 2008 by the outstanding stallion, The Upper Hand. The Upper Hand was sired by our personal all time favorite AQHA halter horse, Skipa Star, and is out of the Hall of Fame Appaloosa mare, My Kinda Girl by The Executive ( Hall of Fame). The Upper Hand epitomizes all the priorities Sawyer Creek holds dear in their horses...correct and balanced conformation, versatility, athletic ability, disposition, color and pretty. The well known red dun stallion is an Appaloosa Club Champion who has earned a Superior in Halter with additional points in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle and Reining. He is a Silver Medallion Producer with 9 get with 12 Medallions, 2 Appaloosa Club Champions and 1 Appaloosa Versatility Champion. We expect great things from this cross and look forward to Daisy's future production at Sawyer Creek for many years to come. Daisy foaled a red dun filly by The Upper Hand on 5/2/2008. Daisy is bred to Maids Midnite Delite for a late spring 2009 foal.
